(It looks like SoftwarePropertiesDBus.py may there to provide a dbus service, rather than being a wrapper for the other modules to call? My ignorance is strong here, so excuse the necessary thinking-out-loud as I go. I'm far from the swiftest helper this bug could have. I just seem to be the active one, for the moment.)
