tried also with G-Ubuntu-Precise and LinuxMint-12 using Lenovo-Y530 (Intel)- same problem: suspend and hibernate do not shutdown - however, suprised that a reboot returned with DebanMint on sda1 although I am sure I booted xubuntu Nappy on sda2.
I never tried LinuxMint before. looks like problem is in kernel.
