#105 @Wal By fresh install are you talking about wiping my drive and reinstalling ubuntu? That would be some ugly piece of work given all the software I'd need to reinstall. Or are you talking about uninstalling the old drivers and reinstalling the new? I did attempt to remove the ubuntu proprietary drivers, prior to the reinstall of the beta driver.
If I were forced to do an entirely fresh install, I might try another distro or Kubuntu or something different. Right now I'm just living with gnome 3 and a dicey driver configuration. I am also not happy with declaring 295.49 a 'fix' for this bug. It changes nothing on my system as far as I can tell. Unity 3D is still dead. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/982485 Title: [regression] Nvidia 295.40: Unity 3D does not work at all with the new nvidia driver To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nvidia-drivers-ubuntu/+bug/982485/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
