All other sessions work pretty fine: - Unity 2D works with both metacity and compiz - Gnome classic also works. The card does not support OpenGL 1.4 so Unity 3D fails back to Unity 2D. Actually this system has been upgraded and not reinstalled due to bug #930447, therefore I am planning to try a fresh install with a non-pae iso (Xubuntu, non-pae mini.iso, non-pae custom Ubuntu iso provided in the aforementioned bug thread).
