I'm still experiencing this on Precise using the alternative installer (text interface). It has hung at "Configuring language-pack-en-base" having made the mistake of choosing British English en-GB.
Why on earth would it attempt to make a download when it has already asked me if it should proceed without networking. It's also on a slow machine (Athlon 900 MHz). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/145012 Title: installer hangs retrieving langpacks when network is down To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/145012/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
