Public bug reported: I use a Thinkpad X220.
Normally, I use the fingerprint reader and the PAM-module of libfprint to authenticate. It works like a charme. But when I use my laptop docked with the lid closed, I'm not able to authenticate using my finger. There seems to be no way to skip this authentication type, neither in terminal, nor in Gnome. There should be a timeout or the possibility to press a key to skip to the next authentication method (would normally be password- authentication). Thanks for your help, Peter ** Affects: pam-fprint (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/991768 Title: Fingerprint authentication not skippable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pam-fprint/+bug/991768/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
