On my Aspire 5930g I lost the headphones sensing and the tuba bass. Looking around I found that in the changelog from ALSA 1.0.21 to 1.0.22 they played around with the quirks for this generation of Aspires. Forcing the quirk to what was in 1.0.20 - model=6530g, which worked - does not fix the situation anymore. Apparently the setup for that quirk was screwed up as well.
