It looks I had a bit of a different problem but apport sent me here. Maybe 
because of the same python module that throws these errors.
Anyway. I managed to set desired default language as root by launching 'sudo 
gnome-language-selector', and other users were being set as well by default. 
Its now set correctly per system, not per user unfortunately.
Not a real walkaround for multinational users on a single PC but It worked for 
me.
