I resolved the problem by adding the line "options snd-hda-intel
model=dell" to the file /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf and reloading
Alsa by running "sudo alsa force-reload". Alsa is not detecting the
correct model of my audio device. Altough I used "model=dell", the
notebook I'm using is not from Dell. Maybe it should use the same Intel
HDA Sound device.
