I found this bug in both 11.10 and 12.04, in several computers and with
both clean and upgraded installs. It happens for every applications I
tried (firefox, libreoffice, nautilus...), systematically, and since I
use the sided windows a lot, it is really annoying.

The window acts as if it is in a pseudo-maximized state when stuck to
the grid (left side, right side, even corners), so that when the
maximize button is clicked, the window reverts back to an unmaximized
state and a second click is needed to actually make it fullscreen.

Also, I noticed that when snapping off the window from a sided position,
the mouse cursor appears several inches above the window (instead of
grabbing the title bar). I'm not sure if this is related to this bug,
but it adds to the irritation.
