I have sound in gnomeradio and tvtime with and without padsp! I had a fresh install of 12.04, and installed packets that i saved with synaptic from 10.04. I do not know if that maked any significance, but what i did do, is opened alsamixer and unmuted line and aux outputs. In case it is working due packets that i have installed, i am attaching the state of installed packages.
