I just installed the 12.04 beta last week, and I am experiencing this too. When launching Chromium (installed from the software center) from the launcher the icon pulses for a while, but no > is shown. When using alt+tab to switch between applications the Unity also behaves like the window doesn't exist. This means that if I minimize the window it becomes unaccessible. If another window is on top of the Chromium window I have to move the occluding window to access Chromium
The Spotify linux preview is showing the same behaviour. It doesn't show up in the launcher, and is not found with alt tab.
