When the drag&drop the other icons move out of the way, but dropping the item to launcher just returns the launcher to the initial state. I've also been able to get an empty icon to the launcher and it even works part of the time.. I'm starting to become convinced that it has nothing to do with the second display, but it's about something else completely. I've been trying to drag & drop file roller (just to make sure that the icon doesn't affect it) and sometimes it fails and sometimes it doesn't..
