You need to install ubuntuone-client-proxy to be able to use file sync through a proxy. If it is not working for you after installing that, and restarting file sync, please file a new bug. The support generally works, but given the number of possible proxy configuration variations in the wild, some people may of course encounter issues, and we will work to resolve them as they are reported.
