Can confirm this on a IBM Thinkpad X41 (not tablet). After hibernate, sound does not work. Does not come back after a soft reset - requires a hard power off and power on again to have sound. Suspending and resuming does not seem to affect sound (will check), along with a suspend/resume straight after hibernation to see if that restores sound, as some have reported. This is on the latest Feisty, 32 bit. I get no sound happens with or without headphones.
