I think there is some confusion here. The title of this bug exactly
describes the bug I am having but the description refers to the dodge
functionality. Gabe's comment is the bug I am seeing. This behavior is
not a duplicate of bug #928719.
So to be clear here is the bug:
I go to System Settings -> Appearance -> Behavior and choose "Auto-hide the
Launcher. When I do this the launcher retracts off-screen as it should.
When I move the pointer all the way to the left of the screen I see a
faint grey "shadow" perhaps 5 pixels wide but the launcher itself never
appears. It only appears when I hit the super key.
So let me reiterate again: this is a bug NOT a feature request.
