I would like to join the issue. I have no problem with my regular usb wireless mouse which is working the way as expected but with my touchpoint (Lenovo R61i). It's by default configured in the /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/11-evdev-trackpoint.conf file. My touchpoint behaves exactly the same way as described in the first post. Oneiric and Precise (both clean installed).
