Great, fabulous, unbelievable, as of linux-image-2.6.20-16.29 my Vaio VGN-S560P is able to shutdown itself. This at the same time make hibernation work more smoothly, since before I had a hard time figuring out, when hibernation was finished and therefore when I could hit the power button.
There is still a little problem with suspend though, but I will file this at some other point: bug #64817 Whoever fixed this, you are my personal hero!!!
