As of linux-image-2.6.20-16-generic 2.6.20-16.29 power down works again. So far this solves my hibernation problem. I have to try, if it works as well, when using intel_agp instead of NVagp however.
STR (suspend) does work as well for the most part. Does some weird shit still but most things work. What does not seem to work however is waking up my SATA hdd which holds my root! This introduces a whole range of problems beside not being able to execute any commands. I am not sure if this is an sata problem or some LVM specific problem. However here is what I get on the console: sd 2:0:0:0: rejecting I/O to offline device EXT3-fs error (device dm-2): ext3_find_entry: reading directory #1064969 offset 0 EXT3-fs error (device dm-4): ext3_find_entry: reading directory #2932746 offset 0 ata3.00 faild to set xfermode (err_mask=0x40) More I could not see since the system was not really responsive! I have one SATA disk sda and except for the boot partition everything is LVM. I posted all my system information including fstab here: bug#118765 By the way, I believe it would make great sense, if I could upload my systems hardware profile to my launchpad profile, so I don't have to upload it again and again to every single hw-specific bug I file. This could probably be done via the hwdb. -- suspend does not work on vaio vgn-s560p https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/64817 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
