well, it's getting worse, now even copying on a NTFS external hard disk stops after a while. At this point I think it's a problem related to the PCI usb hub power management (that could explain the "resetting USB device" in the logs), but in the meantime I will have to go back to Natty because I'm sure it causes no trouble.
