No. Going down one (from standard to rescue) in Grub, then ENTER. Rescue
system is started; Menu is shown, cursor acts as if keys are pressed
continously, further keypresses are ignored, including ENTER.

Avoiding any keypress by setting "set default="1"" within grub.cfg. The
system boots into rescue mode without pressing any key (as soon as you
press ENTER --- same as above). The rescue menu is now functional. You
are able to select entries.
