Joseph, I did a fresh install in a separate partition. I installed Ubuntu 10.04 again, this time the AMD64 version (the old one is x86). I still get crashes, both in the old, 32 bits and the new, 64 bits but less often and of a different nature. Now, the system freezes and I don't get the message above.
For now, I suspect it is the sound driver, since the crashes happen when I play a video in vlc or in a browser (chromium or firefox). I can reproduce this type of crashes easily, but not anymore the one mentioned first. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/979281 Title: Weird crashes in Ubuntu after changing the motherboard To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/979281/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
