I downloaded and installed this kernel. The system boots fine with this kernel. Unfortunately I could not collect enough information to say if the system will resume properly because the xserver has random crashes with this kernel. In fact they appear after some time when watching flash videos. A problem I reported previously here https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/976144 . I considered it solved by installation of updated xserver-xorg-video-intel but it seems to be back and this time it is persistent. Does the v3.4 kernel not work with the newer xserver-xorg-video-intel ?
