Public bug reported: After upgrading to Precise (x86_64), the "coasting scrolling" feature of my Thinkpad T400 touchpad no longer seems to work. Scrolling itself works fine, both by (emulated) two-finger touch or at the edge of the pad, but coasting does not seem to get triggered even if I move my fingers across the sensor as fast as I can. I tried various settings of the "CoastingSpeed" and "CoastingFriction" options with no effect. It seems like the feature is disabled in the latest version of the synaptics driver (xserver-xorg-input-synaptics_1.5.99.902-0ubuntu4) shipping with Precise Pangolin. Coasting was working on the same system with Oneiric just a few days ago.
All driver settings as reported by synclient are attached. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/978327 Title: Scrolling coasting no longer works in Precise Pangolin To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-synaptics/+bug/978327/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
