Mainline kernel 3.2.14 behaves like the Ubuntu version, I'm still getting some "[drm:drm_mode_getfb] *ERROR* invalid framebuffer id" messages. The mainline kernel 3.2.14 became unusable several times during one day with: "[drm:i915_hangcheck_elapsed] *ERROR* Hangcheck timer elapsed... GPU hung" "[drm:kick_ring] *ERROR* Kicking stuck wait on render ring".
The framebuffer-related messages "[drm:drm_mode_getfb] *ERROR* invalid framebuffer id" do not appear after switch to a mainline kernel version 3.4. However, this kernel crashes somewhere in Intel DRM driver anyway. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/747187 Title: Kernel BUG at /build/buildd/linux-2.6.35/drivers/gpu/drm/i915/i915_gem.c:4224!
