I first installed Ubuntu 10, which ran into the same problem: the
touchpad is completely dead. Neither the pad itself or the buttons are
working. When I upgraded the kernel in 10 (sorry, forgot which version
number...) it seemed to resolve itself. However, once I upgraded from
11.10 to 12.04 LTS Beta 2, the problem came back.
Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you!
