Public bug reported: I have two setups. Both with Line6 Pod Studio UX2 guitar preamps and an onbourd souond card (both HDA Intel, one is an 'ALC892 Analog', the other is a 'ALC269VB Analog'). In both cases, When opening qjackctl and setting the input output cards like so:
Input: UX2 Output: Onboard sound (to my speakers). I receive a kernel panic. On both of the machines the computer stops and the LEDs on my keyboard flash. I receive no error output on screen, the computers just freeze up and a hard reset is required. I am able to set up JACK to use the UX2 as both input and output but this means I can't really use my speakers connected to my computer's onboard sound card. This issue occurs both on the latest Ubuntu 12.04 beta (updated as of 09/04/2012) and on my Arch Linux instal with a similar kernel. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/976612 Title: Kernel panic when selecting input/output cards in JACK To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/976612/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
