Public bug reported:

I join an Active Directory domain, using Krb5 and winbind. I have done it both
following the howtos from the Ubuntu forums, and using SADMS. Everything goes
ok. Then, when I log on, sudo still works as normal, but gksudo (or gksu) stops
working.
(i.e., if I run synaptic from the administrative menu, or by typing "gksudo
synaptic", I get the "Starting administrative application" message, but it
disappears after a long while, and nothing else happens. But if I type "sudo
synaptic", it works OK).
This happens both with my local user, and with domain users added to the
sudoers. I have noticed this bug on the three versions of Ubuntu I have tried:
Dapper, Edgy and Feisty.

** Affects: Ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
