Public bug reported:

After upgrading to Precise, my card reader didn't work any more. I have
tracked down this problem to pcscd not being started:

- In /etc/init.d/pcscd, the following lines exit the script:
  # DO NOT start the daemon on startup
  # comment the line to have the same behavior as in version < 1.6.0
  exit 0

- At Ludovic Rousseaus blog at
http://ludovicrousseau.blogspot.com/2011/11/pcscd-auto-start-using-systemd.html,
it is said that pcscd should now be started by systemd via the following two
files:
  /lib/systemd/system/pcscd.service
  /lib/systemd/system/ pcscd.socket

- However, these files are missing on my installation.

- When I run "pcscd -df", everything runs just fine.
