Public bug reported: == Description I use the gmail notifier in gnome and have the chromium-browser as my default browser.
My google password contains a space and this causes the gmail notifier to open 2 tabs in chromium-browser. One with URL: https://accounts.google.com/ServiceLoginAuth?ltmpl=default<mplcache=2&continue=https%3A%2F%2Fmail.google.com%2Fmail%2F%3F&service=mail&rm=false&Email=my-email-addr...@gmail.com&Passwd=**************** And one with URL: http://****************%26rmshown%3D1%26signin%3Dsign+in/ == Proposed fix I guess the gnome-gmail-notifier should apply some escaping of spaces, either with %20 or a mere +; either in the user-input or in the final URL == Other WM's / Browsers If I need to provide infos about iceweasel or unity, i'll be happy to oblige, but I guess the same problem exists here 2. == My system % lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu precise (development branch) Release: 12.04 (Please note: * used to represent password.
