This bug is unrelated to the Enable menu access keys option under
Keyboard Shortcuts and not limited to Unity. When the menu bar is
hidden, the keys are not intercepted. The problem (for me at least) was
that gnome-terminal didn't seem to respect the "Show menubar by default
in new terminals" option when running gnome-shell. You had to toggle it
"on" and then off again to actually hide it.

That said, I can't seem to reproduce this any more using the current
beta of 12.04. Manually installing appmenu-gtk and appmenu-gtk3 again
still leaves me with a gnome-terminal that properly respects the option.
Can anyone else confirm this?
