Hi, Sony FE-590, ubuntustudio (7.04)... after hibernate or suspend, I
get noisy audio. Normal reboot fixes it. Audio level is OK, just
"noisy", buzzy, raspy.

$ uname -a
Linux qx 2.6.20-16-lowlatency #2 SMP PREEMPT Wed May 23 01:49:41 UTC 2007 i686
GNU/Linux

No sound driver chatter in the logs at resume. /etc/init.d/alsa-utils
force-reload or restart etc does not fix (and complains about 'amixer
bad command')

Tried HIBERNATE_MODE= change (and reboot) no fix

Did not tried unpatched kernel; I wont as I need realtime kernel for
audio

added to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base:
#
http://baheyeldin.com/technology/linux/ubuntu-edgy-6-10-to-feisty-7-04-upgrade-sound-and-video-issue
options snd-hda-intel model=3stack

no fix

NOTE: I get similar effect (noise, buzz) when I trigger errors/bugs? in jackd,
mixxx and sooperlooper. I don't have data for you there, as I haven't pinned
down exactly what happens, but basically with it all running OK and in realtime
mode, if I open Mixxx prefs, close, Mixxx dies. On restart of Mixxx, one of a
few thins happens: jackd dies and can't restart; jackd doesnt die, or is
restartable, but audio is noisy/buzzy. Sorry for the lack of detail, just FYI.
