I have the same problem. If i start my system with ethernet cable
disconnect, the kernel dont recognize my connection, but qhen i start
system with cable connected it works well until i desconnect the cable,
when i do it the ubuntu doesnt recognize the link anymore. So i reload
NIC's module. But my speed lan is correctly detected (100Mb/s) and i
prefer reload the module and the networking services. Is it a kernel
problem? I was using Edgy without problems, this problems appears when i
upgrade my system.
