Just wanted to file this in case it's not been flagged. Screencast recording works as intended save one hiccup, it's not recording sound. Using Kazam (https://launchpad.net/kazam) I had to change the sound input to make it record sound correctly and I'm guessing this may be a similar issue. However I'm stumped as to how to change sound input for the screen recorder hence the bug report.
