I'm uploading 0.6.6-1ubuntu1 to precise now.  However, I'm not closing
this bug at this point, because I'm not convinced it entirely fixes it
(and upstream doesn't appear to truly claim that it does).  The
directions in the bug description still produce a certain degree of
chaos; Daniel, do you think you could try those out?  They're quite easy
to follow in a precise amd64 chroot, such as one created using mk-sbuild
in precise.  I don't normally use aptitude myself (although I did at
least make sure that my upload seemed to still work for non-multiarch
cases), so I don't really consider myself qualified to say whether this
is usable for multiarch yet.

However, this is clearly closer to a solution, and I expect that
uploading this will reduce noise and make it easier to see what remains
to be done.
