Mine is a VT3118 Chipset with PM800/PM880. It is an Esys notebook

Right now it uses the Vesa driver But i wanted to get the 2D abilities of my
hardware
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ dmesg |grep PM800
[17179594.624000] agpgart: Detected VIA PM800/PN800/PM880/PN880 chipset
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$

I tried the following in Ubuntu Edgy

1) native VIA - Failed - Xserver does not start
2) Openchrome - Failed - Xserver does not stat
3) Unichrome - Failed - Xserver does not start ( Had to rename this to via and
use it after uninstalling xserver-xorg-video-via). It seems that the driver
fully has not been rename to Unichrome

In the xserver-xorg-video-via - It is claimed that VT3118 is supported.
But Even then i get an error saying VT3118 is not supported

Do i need to update the kernel for the unichrome driver to work??? (to
2.6.20). If i upgrade to Feisty Wil this work?

Regards
Prabhu
