Brian,

I was not familiar with the term "symlinked" so I looked it up.  Does
the output I got tell me that /dev/dvd is symlinked to /dev/hdc?  If so,
hdc is my cdrom drive and hdd is my DVD-ROM drive.  Should I change the
symlink to "ln -s /dev/hdd /dev/dvd" to symlink /dev/hdd to /dev/dvd????
