Using 2.6.20-16-generic this happens after only a few moments of being connected, using 2.6.20-15-generic and the bug occurs perhaps once a day.
I also get the kernel oops when unloading/reloading the module. Will open separate bug. Please see attached dmesg entry and lspci.. let me know if any further information is required.
