This bug should cover all bugs related to viewport/workspace switching or moving of windows between them causing unwanted windows to briefly appear (flicker) and disappear.
Chauncellor, if this bug does not fully describe your problem it's possible you might also still have bug 876575 on oneiric. Though my fix for that bug was no explicit fix at all. It just went away with the introduction of the new frame timing code in compiz 0.9.7.0.
