Public bug reported:

The startup speed in Ubuntu Software Center has been greatly improved.
It is now usable in 6-7 seconds on my PC. However, the last four seconds
is spent waiting for the front page to appear.

Very often, I know exactly why I'm opening the software center and I'm
going to enter a search phrase. If I was able to do that even while the
contents were loaded, then I the real startup time would be more than
halfed, which would be very good.
