I have a few things to say ... 1).Formal. The ability to read scripts from ~/.thunderbird/init.d/ is documented in mozilla kb here http://kb.mozillazine.org/Date_display_format and probably should work just to do not confuse users who are seeking ability to change date&time format in Thunderbird views
2). Usability. After removal of this feature you are require from me to change settings of my system/user account locale (which is already fine configured) and then think and wait which side effect it can cause... instead of changing locale just for Thunderbird 3). Usability. (The above but in other words... which is happened with me) I installed Thunderrbird, all jsut fine except the the date & time formats. I went to mozilla kb and found a way how to fix it. But it doesn't work what should I do then? Spend a hours googling for a solution? Send a time looking over system files trying to troubleshoot this situation and possible fix it (I'm not even talking about this require some knowledges)...? Change my locale settings with possible side effects later and unpredictable results that Thunderbird will accept new settings? Uninstall TB and use something more suitable?
