FIXED ! I had previously used Synaptic to remove qtstalker but it apparently does not do a complete job of removing it. I did this several times with no luck.
I just now removed qtstalker's rc and rc lock files from the hidden qt directory and then removed the hidden qtstalker directory. All these are under the home directory. Then I reinstalled qtstalker and it works just fine. The directory I removed is: ~/.qtstalker The two files I removed are: ~/.qt/qtstalkerrc ~/.qt/qtstalkerrc.lock Actually, I not not completely certain about the last two files because they are gone and now there are 3 such files, from the latest ubuntu version of qtstalker. I think they are right though and the correct files to remove should be obvious because there are fewer than 10 files in that directory. I don't know why synaptic doesn't know about these other files but it doesn't. Joy! Crawford Best -- Qtstalker exits immediately when I try to display a graph. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/80470 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
