In 12.04 we do this on the client-side as well now: http://www.piware.de/2011/11/apport-1-90-client-side-duplicate-checking/
However, I noticed that it has been buggy, I just noticed that we fail to do this when there is an address signature as well as a symbolic signature, and the latter does not have an existing duplicate db entry. I take the liberty to modify this bug accordingly. ** Summary changed: - Duplicate searching needed + client-side duplicate searching not done in some cases ** Changed in: apport (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged => In Progress ** Changed in: apport (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Martin Pitt (pitti) ** Changed in: apport (Ubuntu) Status: In Progress => Fix Committed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/103083 Title: client-side duplicate searching not done in some cases To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apport/+bug/103083/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
