Public bug reported: I have nautilus set to show list mode, ie showing the file 'name', 'size', 'date modified' and 'type'.
If I right click on a row showing one of the files or directories, it should normally display a context menu for that file (ie the menu starting with the 'Open' command). This is the case in Ubuntu 11.04 and earlier. However, in Ubuntu 12.04 this menu is only displayed if I click where text is displayed in one of the columns ('name', 'size', 'date modified', or 'type'). If I click on the blank part between the columns, I get the menu starting with 'Create New Folder', which is normally reserved for blank parts of nautilus (ie where there is no row). This means, for instance, that if you painstakingly select a number of files with CTRL and left mouse click and then right-click on one of the selected rows but miss the text, you lose the selection completely and are shown the wrong context menu. It also makes it hard to select files or folders with short names like '1'.
