I personally have no use and no interest in GCJ, since Java is going to be open source (some parts are already released). If Java versions on Ubuntu use the alternatives process to select the proper JVM for the user, then Tomcat should automatically follow the user's choice. (Even if a configuration entry still should override the default choice)
