Public bug reported:

I was upgrading a bunch of packages, including firefox, when it reported
"Unknown error, please report a bug". The details told me that
/usr/lib/firefox/firefox-10.0.2 (or thereabouts) failed to start because
firefox was already in use.

Mostly, I'm reporting a bug because it asked me to; if firefox can't be
upgraded while it's running, it might be nice to give a nicer warning
message.

** Affects: apper (Ubuntu)
