I downloaded an image (.jpg) and edited it in the Gimp, and then
saved/exported it as a .png.  If I right-click on the desktop _> Configure,
it wouldn't set properly (as I've described).  However, if I right-click on
the image and set as desktop, it does work.

I have the image on my computer at work and will send it in Monday.
