I really like the idea of how the shortcut hint works now in ubuntu 12.04 beta, but I think that when one uses a shortcut with the super key and holds that shortcut, the hint behaviour should not continue. Example: If I try to maximize a window with super + up arrow, and I don't release the super key soon enough, the hint window will be displayed. In other words: if a shortcut with the super key is used, the timer for the hint window should stop.
