Ok, I stand corrected. Nevertheless, a chromium user who is serious about HTML5 video can download chromium-codecs-ffmpeg from a (most likely unofficial) repository. A firefox user who wants the same thing has to download gstreamer-ffmpeg from an unofficial repository and recompile a patched firefox.
