I've done several successful suspend/resumes with the 3.3rc6 kernel, using Xubuntu, Ubuntu, and Ubuntu 2D sessions. No failed resumes. I think it likely that I would have triggered the blank-screen bug at least once if I had been running the 3.0.0.16 kernel during that time.
FWIW, I did have one failed suspend, where the system appeared to go into an S1 sleep (monitor on standby, but fan and power light still on). That required power cycling to get out of. I suspect it's not relevant for the purposes of this bug, but I thought I'd mention it. ** Tags removed: needs-upstream-testing ** Tags added: kernel-fixed-upstream-v3.3-rc6 ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/907168 Title: [ 3.0.0-14 regression ] Radeon 3200 GPU blank screen on resume To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/907168/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
